Can't remember what to pack?

So you can't remember what to pack for the Spring Break Trip? Well, here's your packing list!

  • Driver’s license
  • Spending $$--we estimate about $50 for extra meals and more if you buy souvenirs or other items!
  • Pillow and either sleeping bag or air mattress
  • 1 pair Pajamas or sweats for sleeping
  • 1 pair of Shorts for warm evenings
  • Ear plugs!! (definitely worth it if you’d like to get some sleep—especially with our snorers
  • At least 5 t-shirts to work in and 2 nicer shirts or t-shirts for evening activities
  • At least 2 pairs of Jeans (1 to work in and 1 for evening activities)
  • 2 Sweatshirts (1 for work and 1 for evening)
  • Jacket or fleece(for chilly mornings and evenings)
  • Lock for lockers in the shower area if you don’t want to drag items back and forth daily.
  • Shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.
  • Bandanas or hats (especially women—bandanas are great to hold your hair back!)
  • Beauty supplies, curling iron, hair dryer, etc. (not that any of you need it…)J  PLEASE share these items, too—no need to bring 40 hairdryers!
  • 2 or 3 towels and washcloths for the week
  • Swimsuit (just to be on the safe side)
  • Work gloves/ponchos (We will supply these)
  • 1 pair of sunglasses or safety glasses—EVERYONE must wear these when hammering into OSB—no more nails in eyes!!
  • Tool belt (if you can borrow or purchase one with a place for a hammer, they are very helpful!)
  • Work shoes/boots (tennis shoes are ok, but boots are much safer for stepping on nails!  Also, check out Wal-Mart for steel-toed tennis shoes—comfy and safe for about $25)
  • Gameboy/Ipod/Board games/Music/Instruments, etc.—Bring things to enjoy in the evenings and share at the talent show!
  • AU t-shirts/sweatshirts, etc. (great for showing our AU pride, especially in pics!)
  • Cameras
  • Please remember that all you bring must fit into 1 50-lb suitcase, so pack accordingly.
  • You may also take a bookbag/purse as your 2nd carry-on.  Please put your electronics, $$, license, etc. in here.  I also recommend bringing at least a change of underwear and a t-shirt in here because as a couple of you remember from a few years ago, there’s no guarantee luggage will arrive!  (This item will need to fit underneath the seat in front of you.)
  • We’ll also need to bring our valuables to and from the worksite daily, so PLEASE leave the really important things at home—we’re only going to be gone 1 week!!
